Press release!; University of Lagos, NSASA Dinner and Awards Night 2019.

During the Ball of Ice and Fire, some wonderful performances were put up by artistes such as Haekins, Son of Bell, Tairon, Ugo and Brief Daddy. Another highlight was the awarding of the “Ball of Ice and Fire” in which Dinner Appreciation Award was presented to Frodd by the outgoing president of the association, Yinka-Ojo Favour. At the same time, fashionistas, both male and female were awarded as such.

The award ceremony for the Ball of Ice and Fire: NSASA Dinner and Awards Night 2019 took place at the Imperial Hall, Ikeja Lagos, on the 2nd of November 2019 and was an incredible event celebrating the success and recognising the achievements of the outgoing executives. The “Ball of Ice and Fire” event welcomed more than 200 Akokites.

The evening began with the recognition of Ex-BBN housemate, Chukwuemeka Okoye Frodd also known as “Slow Tiger”, followed by a three-course meal, the awards themselves and culminating in the popular after party, featuring Handing Over.

Every year, it comprises three different events: the theme which this year is tagged “A Ball of Ice and Fire”, the Winners’ Dinner and the After Party ( Night Party).

After the Ball of Ice and Fire, the Handing Over commenced while the absence of the incoming NSASA PRO was detected which caused commotion among the executives.

The splendor and color of these unique award nights can not fully be described as it has attracted a lot of marvelous dignitaries from various departments in the University of Lagos.

Past awardees include: Salisu Oluwafunke, Damilola Slimgene, Ibrahim Bourgeoisie, Senator Areola Martins, Shoboyede Tosin, Moyosore Odugbesan, Manukwem Benedict Mojo, Yinka-Ojo Favour, Dada Sofiat, Azeez Adeola, Obafemi Tosin, David Honcho and Konigbagbe Oreoluwa

Award of Excellence was also presented to NSASA_CONNECT sequel to their immense contributions to the affairs of the association as “Unsung Media Outlet”. The members comprise Olusesi Azeezat (Pearl), Sefiu Folajumi, Jacobs Busayo, Obafemi Tosin (O.J) and Ajibade Abraham Olayinka.
Presenting the Award was Femi Martins Areola on behalf of the association, he disclosed that it was in recognition of NSASA Excos’ iconic initiative to provide students information and happenings in the school and the nation at large.
