ONDO STATE STUDENTS TO CLEAN AKURE DEC 21
As Nigerian cities continue to suffer from increasing waste caused by ineffective waste management culture, the National Association of Ondo state students led by the President, Com. Ayoade Kikiowo is set to embark on the biggest student action against waste in the city of Akure. The action dubbed “Clean City Train” will take place in Akure, Ondo State on Saturday, 21st of December, 2019.
Com. Kikiowo mentioned that Clean City emphasizes the need for students to stand up and take actions as responsible custodians of the earth. Clean City is a cleanup exercise within the city that is expected to create immediate change, awareness and inspire students to implement steps towards lasting waste management.
“We will mobilize our members to clean Akure uniquely. We will clean up our city and have fun doing it. It is our end of the year gift to our great state,” said the Global president, Com. Kikiowo Ayoade.
