Here’s what we are looking for:
Eligibility CriteriaG oGettaz Agripreneur Prize may be a fantastic opportunity for young African agripreneurs to require their business venture to subsequent level. additionally to the US$50,000, the competition also offers these agripreneurs the prospect to attend the Africa revolution Forum (AGRF) virtual meeting and make their mark. Our finalists also will receive mentorship, programming linkages and guidance to continue their entrepreneurial journey.

The Entrepreneur
Entrepreneur is aged 35 or below on the date of submission to the competition, and is legally recognised as an adult in country of nationality
Entrepreneur holds nationality (with a politician ID) from a rustic which may be a member of the African Union
Entrepreneur is that the founder/co-founder of the venture he/she represents within the competition and plays a lively role in its operations and leadership
Entrepreneur has no record associated with corruption, evasion , financial impropriety, felony or other offence, and can provide a signed declaration thereto effect, if requested

The Venture
Venture may be a lready legally registered during a country which is a member of the African Union or will have commenced with the registration of such a legal entity before 18 July 2021
Venture is headquartered during a country which may be a member of the African Union
Venture is meant to be financially sustainable, either as a for-profit business or a non-profit generating some revenue and aiming to not be hooked in to donor funding
Venture plays a task within the agri-food sector and/or supports the event of the agri-food sector through an innovation or process improvement
The agri-food sector could also be defined as businesses including:
Agri-food research & development
Primary food production (farming)
Crop nutrition
Irrigation
Mechanisation, automation or robotics, including drones
Crop protection
Hydroponics or urban farming
Transport, distribution, storage or logistics
Food processing
Packaging or marketing
Food retail or service
Waste management or recycling
Digital or technology solutions/services to the agri-food sector
Innovative finance solutions/services to the agri-food sector
Renewable energy or environmental solutions/services to the agri-food sector

TIMELINE

An expert jury will review all GoGettaz applications, considering the standards mentioned above.
The semi-finalists are going to be notified via Facebook and email by 17 July 2021. Semi-finalists will each be interviewed and asked for further information.
The finalists are going to be selected by the jury by 27 July 2021. Six male and 6 female finalists are going to be notified via Facebook, or by email.
Finalists are going to be invited to compete within the final virtual pitching contest at the Africa revolution
Forum (AGRF) virtual meeting 2021.
All GoGettaz finalists are going to be awarded mentorship, programming linkages and other guidance to continue their entrepreneurial journey.
Application Form Questions
The application includes questions such as:

“Give an example of your entrepreneurial mindset.”
“How does your venture make money?”
“Who are your main customers?”
“Who are your main competitors?”
“What are your biggest business challenges thus far and the way have you ever overcome them?”
Applicants must fill out each section of the appliance to be considered. make certain to permit enough time to finish all sections.
