JOIN THE VIRTUAL EVENT

In a two three-day online events, one in Africa and another one in Asia Pacific, participants will be given a chance by the Climate Innovation Labs to work side-by-side with climate technology experts from small and medium-sized enterprises to expose them to innovative design thinking tools, flex their entrepreneurial muscle and create solutions for enhanced climate action.

WHY CLIMATE INNOVATION LABS?

You’d be given an opportunity to be part of the change you want to see in the world. Participants would have the opportunity to develop and adopt technologies that are environmentally sound by identifying synergies with the CTCN’s work.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Participants must be:
• between 20 and 30 years old
• fluent in the English language
• attending or have completed higher education
• an aspiring or early-stage entrepreneurs or students interested in launching an idea on climate change and building entrepreneurial muscle
• interested in solving climate needs technologically and challenges in Africa or Asia Pacific, from those listed in the focus challenges below.

FOCUS CHALLENGE

You will be given the opportunity to work with climate technology experts on one of the following challenges-

• Climate change effects including drought, floods, deforestation, heatwaves, landslides

• Access to capital and partnership

• Absence of human resources knowledgeable about climate technology

• Absence of structures to enable sustainable growth in the sector

• Absence of awareness about the impact of climate change

• Accessibility of raw materials and equipment to build products used in climate change mitigation

• Accessibility of scientific laboratories

WINNER PRIZE

What can you win?

Participants will receive follow-up support to initiate and scale their solution through a 6-8 week Climate Innovation Academy Program provided by Seedstars.
With the expertise and mentorship provided throughout the virtual program, they’d have a perfect chance to turn their ideas into a real business
