OVERVIEW

The Green Institute Internship provides a 6-month innovative virtual program for acquiring knowledge, skills and experience within the field of sustainability. This program aims to nurture college students and fresh graduates ( of at most two years), thereby bridging the gap between education and career development. This is done by offering on-the-job-training and experience for effective employee development.
A culminating project is a requirement in partial fulfillment of this program, which is geared at offering sustainable and innovative solutions to the existing local challenges. Participants are expected to conduct an innovative solution starting from policies, advocacy or education to products, services and business models that address a specific challenge. The project is judged based on innovation, depth of impact, and scalability. The participant with the best community project is awarded a grant of $1000.
The Internship program builds participants by empowering them through capacity building and critical thinking skills to become eco-conscious, ethical and entrepreneurial leaders in their communities and therefore the world at large.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Must be a student of an educational institution or graduate of less than 2 years
• Must be available to actively participate and should possess requisite digital tools such as a computer and internet connection

APPLICATION PROCESS:
STAGE 1: PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT
Applicants are required to sign into the Greeners Tribe platform where they complete their profile update. After successful registration the applicant are to upload a 60-second video pitch on the topic provided on the platform.

DEADLINE: 19TH JANUARY 2021
STAGE 2: EVALUATION
This second phase engages the applicants in trains of discussions, unlocking their thinking capabilities, personality trait and style of leadership. They will be given a task matched with their individual skills to access their proficiency.

EVALUATION: STARTS 26TH JANUARY 2021
STAGE 3: INTERVIEW
Applicants go through a 15-minute interview with the Director of Internship and discuss their previously assigned tasks.

INTERVIEW DATES:22ND FEBRUARY – 25TH FEBRUARY 2021
STAGE 4: ACCEPTANCE
Highest performing participants will be accepted into our Internship Program.

ACCEPTANCE LETTERS: 20TH MARCH 2021

STEP 5: INTERNSHIP
Highest performing participants will be accepted into our Internship Program.

INTERNSHIP PERIOD: COMMENCE ON 5TH APRIL 2021
