Reading Time: 2 minutes Terra Summer Residency Fellowships in Giverny, France The Terra Summer Residency is the foundation’s periodic, interdisciplinary program for doctoral scholars and artists worldwide. The program encourages independent work on compositions and cultural systems, while furnishing thematic forums on motifs of current interest to the field of American art, visual and material culture, and cultural practice. Mentoring by established scholars and artists is offered, as well as guest lectures from art professionals to foster reflection about further indifferent, inclusive, and sustainable practices. The Terra Foundation prioritizes scholarly and cultural systems that interrogate and broaden delineations of American art and supports systems engaged in transubstantiating or complicating how the story of American art is told. To expand histories of American art, we encourage systems that reflect a commitment to inclusive and indifferent exploration and creative practice; induce new education and illuminative fabrics; employ critical methodologies and innovative models; and/ or engage different mates and cult.
