OVERVIEW
This is an opportunity for a woman who aspires to study computer science. The Generation Google Scholarship was set up to foster women who are aspiring to be computer scientists’ domination in their technology careers. Applicants who are selected will receive a 7,000 EUR award (or local equivalent) for the 2021-2022 school year. The Scholarships will be awarded based on the capacity of individual candidate’s impact on diversity, demonstrated the action of leadership, and educational background.
Women who are interested in computer science are strongly advised to apply.

Who can apply?
To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

Applicants currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for 2020-21 academic
Ready to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. program at an accredited university in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa for the 2021-2022 academic year
Applicants must be studying computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field
Evidence of a strong academic record
Good leadership and show an enthusiastic involvement in representing underrepresented students in computer science and technology.

A letter of reference from a professor, adviser, instructor, or supervisor
Reactions to four short essay questions
Candidates will be accepted based on the general strength of their essay papers and application materials equivalence to the entire applicant pool or respective peers (e.g. bachelor students compared to other Bachelors students).
Application deadline: early-December.

Terms and conditions for Generation Google Scholarship

The scholarship is open to women who are into computer science. Applicants must enroll as full-time students for the academic session of 2021-2022 After the applicant has been selected, all the scholarship expenses will be made directly to the selected students to use for their tuition fees and other educational expenses.
Applicants who no longer meet the required criteria of the scholarship will be revoked from the scholarship. Instructions will be sent by Google on how the selected applicants will receive their awards. Applicants who failed to complete the required steps by the end of the deadline will be considered disqualified from receiving the award.
Applicants may concede their honor for up to one (1) year from the hour of initially planned payment depends upon the situation as dictated by Google. An employee of Google is not qualified to apply for Google scholarships. People who are (1) residents of prohibited countries, (2) resident baned in countries (3) otherwise disallowed by relevant export controls and sanctions projects may not apply for this scholarship.

GGS: WOMEN IN GAMING

Overview

Generation Google is proud to announce its partnership with Stadia, with Google’s new gaming program. With the aim of expanding scholarship opportunities for students who are pursuing a gaming degree in their academics. Applicants who are selected will receive a 7,000 EUR award (or local equivalent) for the 2021-2022 school year. The Scholarships will be awarded based on the capacity of individual candidate’s impact on diversity, demonstrated the action of leadership, and educational background. Women who are interested in gaming are strongly advised to apply.

The Generation Google Scholarship was set up to foster women in Ireland who are aspiring to be computer scientist’s domination in their technology field. This opportunity is for a woman who aspires to study computer science in Ireland. Applicants who are selected will receive a 5,000 EUR award (or local equivalent) for 2021-2022 for the duration of their undergraduate academic study. A set of female students will be selected among the applications of candidates, and the scholarships will be awarded based on the capacity of individual candidate’s impact on diversity, demonstrated the action of leadership, and educational background. Women who are interested in computer science are strongly advised to apply.

Who can apply?

Eligibility requirements to apply for the Generation Google Scholarship: for women in computer science, applicants must:

Applicants currently enrolled as a first or second-year undergraduate student at a university in Ireland for the 2020-21 academic year.

Intend to proceed to pursue their bachelors’ degree at a university in Ireland for at least 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic year.

Applicants must be studying computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field.

Evidence of a strong academic record

Good leadership and show an enthusiastic involvement in representing of underrepresented students in computer science and technology.
