Comr. Ebiemi Magnus OLOFIN, fondly called Mc Magnus is a student of Biological Sciences at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). He is a professional graphics designer, Public Relations Officer, an anchor as well as a master of ceremony which was how he earned the name, “Mc Magnus”. He currently serves as a volunteer at a humanitarian service organisation in which he states that it is not limited to activism only. He is also a Student E-Activist of Amnesty International Nigeria, International Model United Nations to mention but a few.
When asked about his involvement in any other activities in school,he stated that he tries to squarely engage in politics from time to time.He believes that there are certain qualities one must possess to thrive in this digital age and they include photography, Marketing and Graphics designs. According to him he often says that “A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.”
Talking about where he sees himself in the next five years, he replied that he sees himself striving to be amongst the young as well as the biggest goal getters in vogue. He would also like to be a young entrepreneur, brands manager, motivational speaker and a medical doctor. Quite a lot of dreams and aspirations i must say.
About his most challenging experience in school, and he thinks the period during his first year when he had to carry a ridiculously big drawing board all day long to one Mechanical Engineering course tops the chart.
Now, regarding what his greatest achievement has been;and to this he said being alive is more than enough achievement for him.
Concerning how life experiences has helped to shape him, he had no reply other than good. His reaction to being selected as an ambassador for the month was that of shock although he had already anticipated it fully. Also with his current position as an ambassador,we were eager to know what he would be able to achieve if he was given the opportunity and he replied that he would provide the brand greater representation as it relates to news correspondence and tender it for events management and coverage.
Telling us about his disposition towards us at CCN and what he would like to change if provided a chance, he said he thinks our graphics designers should be more professional, also our news and scholarships update should be sent via the site link such that we would have a larger audience.
We asked him what he would give back to the society if at all he could give something back and he mentioned the popular character Herculean. He would try to meet the needy and the less-privileged in person for humanitarian services.
His favourite life mantra is a strong believer of the popular Quote:Whatever is worth doing,is worth doing well. During his leisure time,he said he loves to play Football.
