Future Africa: Telling Stories, Building Worlds
Are you a storyteller who has worked with 360 video, augmented,virtual, or mixed reality?
Are you curious about using immersive technologies to inform your African story?
OVERVIEW
Africa No Filter, in partnership with Electric South, Imisi 3D and Meta, invites Extended Reality Creators to use for grants of up to $30,000 to support the assembly and development of latest content. during a bid to support a thriving XR Ecosystem, Africa No Filter are going to be commissioning work which uses immersive technology to inform exciting stories about Africa. Grantees are going to be supported with on-going mentorship and production support by Electric South and can even have the chance to showcase their projects during a virtual or in-person showcase.
Selected Grantees also will be invited to virtually attend Electric South’s Creators Lab in February 2022.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Applicant must be a minimum of 18 years old
• Must be living on the continent and be of African descent
• Must have previous experience with XR content creation and a minimum of 1 completed XR project
• Must have a portfolio of labor accessible online
• Proposed project must be completed within 6 months
• Applicant must be available on the dates below if selected

Africa No Filter (ANF) may be a donor collaborative that supports the event of nuanced and contemporary stories that shift stereotypical and harmful narratives within and about Africa.
