The Challenge

At Schneider Electric, we believe that energy is necessary for all of humanity, and we are focused on inking this possible through new technologies. As key players in the Energy, Management and Industrial Automation sector, we realize there is an urgent need for smart and sustainable innovative ideas that can shape the future for both the industry and our company;
This is where we want your help! Schneider Go Green, along with AVEVA, is looking for great thinkers around the world who are daring to upset and put their skills to the test in pushing the boundaries of the energy management sector regarding digital transformation;

You can submit your ideas relating to one of the following five categories under energy management:
•Access to Energy: Enable worldwide access to energy in a way sustainable for the environment.
•Homes of the Future: Envision homes that are smarter, more sustainable and utilize new technologies.
•Plants of the Future: Apply AI, IoT, Machine Learning and more to invent plants for future industries.
•Grids of the Future: Forecast the future of energy management and distribution.
•De[coding] the Future: Imagine future approaches to design, engineering and building of assets and infrastructure.

APPLICATION TIMELINE
The timeline for the Middle East and Africa are:
•Application Phase
Sep 8, 2020 – Feb 15, 2021
Register on the website, choose a suitable category and submit your most innovative and disruptive idea.

•Pre-screening and Mentoring
Feb 16, 2021 – Apr 5, 2021
Opportunity to network and connect with SE experts, to mould your idea into a workable solution.

•Virtual Global Finals
June 2021 – Online
Top teams, would be invited to attend the Virtual Global Finals of Schneider Go Green 2021.
Each team will have the chance to pitch their innovative ideas in a 15-minute presentation, after which they would be questioned by the jury, made up of Schneider Electric’s senior management for 5 minutes;

•Regional Finals

Depending on the Covid-19 situation, and the health and safety of all students, judges and other stakeholders, the Global Finals will be held either online or in-person;

BENEFITS

– A consideration for a job interview with the HR manager and receive contents about Schneider Electric’s job opportunities, benefits, job, events, early career, amidst others.
-Winners of the Global finals will get tickets for an expense-free trip to one of the following cities: London (UK), Boston (USA), Paris (France), New Delhi (India), or Shanghai (China), visit Schneider Electric offices, connect and network with both employees and high-level management at SE.
-The winning team will be awarded a year (1 year) subscription, for Coorpacademy platform.
– All competitors will have access to mentorship from Schneider Electric experts aid them in shaping their proposals and stand a chance to qualify for the Grand Finale!
-Regional finalists will be awarded accesses to Coorpacademy e-learning resources, in preparations for the Global finals.
-An all-female team will automatically qualify for the Global Finals and compete for the grand prize!
