Are you one of the 2021 SDG Pioneers?
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out a precise vision for a sustainable future and forge a new era for business. In relation to our Making Global Goals Local Business campaign, every year, the UN Global Compact celebrates a group of SDG Pioneers — business leaders who are doing an extraordinary task to improve the Global Goals through the execution of our Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

In our search for the 2021 cohort of SDG Pioneers, we motivate professionals working at any level of a UN Global Compact-participating company who are leveraging a principles-based approach to develop ambitious, scalable and impactful SDG targets to apply.

AWARDS

Pioneers for the 2021 UN Global Compact SDG will be disclosed and celebrated in June 2021 at the Leaders Summit in New York.

ABOUT THE GLOBAL COMPACT LOCAL NETWORK 2020 SDG PIONEERS

In 2020, Sixteen Global Compact Local Networks hosted country-based SDG Pioneer campaigns to search for professionals, who will now vie in the global round of the 2021 UN Global Compact SDG Pioneers campaign. The winners of the country-based campaigns automatically participate in the global round representing their respective country.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 related targets indicate a dignified new path to halt extreme poverty and hunger, tackle inequalities and address climate change by 2030 — ensuring that no one is left behind.
