An epitome of efficacy, magnanimity and diligence, Madam Lola Odeyale is a business tycoon, with over a decade working experiences, cutting across Teaching, Financial and Management consultancy, Managerial sectors; a selfless humanitarian, cutting across innumerable philanthropist deeds in the educational sector, civic leadership, mental wellness; and a continuous academic, a Microbiologist, an MSc holder — in Business Administration and Counseling Psychology from Obafemi Awolowo University, a researcher — in Personnel Psychology, and an author — I have seen God–, bagging several awards for impact and academic achievements and belonging to over 12 professional institutions within and outside the country;
Iconoffragrance —a nickname, originating from her passion to beautify– a Finance and Management mogul, specialises in handling the finances of her clientele, expertly investing and giving profitable advisory, as she hopes to entirely positively impact the lives of everyone.
Vaunted for her idiosyncrasies Madam Odeyale holds perseverance, integrity, diligence, as her most valued traits.
She alluded to wanting to study Medicine believing, in the nascence of her life, like Law, Engineering etcetera, it was the only way she could help people, which is her greatest passion; But not meeting the criterion to study Medicine, a shattering experience, tasked her to rethink her strategies, and with the enlightenment of exposure and a burning passion to serve humanity, Lola graduated cum laude and is a certified Microbiologist from the Prestigious University of Ibadan; On returning for her graduate studies: ‘I was frustrated by a lecturer on returning for my graduate studies in Industrial Microbiology, but that was when I discovered ME’, she told us, but rather furthered in Business Administration;
Madam Odeyale nostalgically narrated some of the setbacks she faced, where she suffered a miscarriage due to the shock of losing her father, and also almost losing her job, all in the same year; ‘‘There have been setbacks, there is no glory without a story’; she attributed her ability to overcome those times to God and family: ‘My Mom is my number one fan’
As a visionary advocate of change, Lola is a philanthropist and an enthusiastic who helps people with what God has given her ” The desire to help others knowing that all I have was given to me by God to bless humanity” She has thus, empowered many youths with vocational training, educational opportunities, opportunities for civic leadership, as well as fighting for the mental wellness of the public, especially youths, where she stands tall to advocate against suicide, and its propellers and pledged to continue to reach out to more people; She also disclosed that she, every year, partners with NGOs —Outpour of Fragrances Initiative, through which she donates educational materials to secondary school students; Lola also partners with Global Leadership Summit, Ibadan, and the University of Ibadan; she also addresses people about suicide and being healthy; she is an advocate who campaigns against suicide; Due to Lola’s social impact works, she was invited to Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), where she discussed ‘Suicidal tendencies in youth’.
“I believe in personal development” she proudly admitted. With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, she invested her time and resources to obtaining the 21st-century skills via online training and maximising technological innovations, all of which she applies in her career;
Finally, Madam Lola expressed her elation on being selected as the Adult Ambassador for Campus Community Network Ambassador (CCN), and acknowledges it means a call to service, to help more youth; She asserts that this opportunity enables her continuous work in terms of nation-building to help more youths in vocational and entrepreneurial training;
Madam Odeyale charged the youths to take time to discover purpose, believe in themselves and strive to diligently impact their world positively.
The desire to please God and do my assignments on earth motivates me.
