Where I am From

I am the soul of a distressed man from the far deep cavity of a virgin raped society.
A land of poverty and desertion. Characterized by distress and lost hopes.

I am from the nooks and crannies of the realities of a poor background.
Though United, our only common tie is poverty and hardship.

I am from a land where even the bravest of men dare not dream.
Hope have sailed with the whites in slavery and joy haveparted our world.

I am from a land where our truest smile is accompanied by tears and a cry for help.
I am poor, raped of my hopes and robbed of dreams

If only you knew where I’m from; you do know i am from a land where dreams never grow.
